Astronomers have discovered a massive star moving extremely quickly through the outer halo of the Milky Way

The star (with the catchy name of HE0437-5439) was estimated to be travelling at 1.6 million miles an hour.
One possible reason for this unusually high speed is that the star got a bit too close to a supermassive black hole in the centre of the Magellanic Cloud.

Makes Jeremy Clarkson raving about the Bugatti Veyron being able to hit 252mph a bit pathetic in comparison
