Feb. 3rd, 2005 09:12 pmso there I was, practicing the new moves we'd done in T'ai Chi class, and I go and pull my back
ouch ouch ouch
I then manage to catch the cough that seems to be going around the office. One of those dry coughs that you can't quite get a good hacking grip on... y'know, you want to cough up a lung, but it turns into some pathetic *ugh* instead of a full on *cough*
Of course, with the bad back, I'm not taking any chances, so I tense myself up everytime I feel a coughing fit coming on - except one time I over compensate, and end up pulling a muscle in the middle of my chest.
Obviously work spot something is wrong, but when I tried to explain it, they paniced and sent me home to see a doctor.
I can kinda see their point. I'm standing there, clutching my chest and suffering from shortness of breath.
My doctor checked me over and agreed with what I'd done, so I'll not be in work tomorrow either.
YAY
After I got back from the doctors I sat down and watched some of the DVD's that
EverDawn got me for Christmas.
I finished off the end of the "Everest 50 Years on the Mountain" - in which the sons of famous climbers (including Sir Edmund Hillary & Tenzing Norgay kids) attempt to climb Everest.
Tomorrow I'll sit down and watch the kenneth branagh version of "Shackleton"
Not a bad way to start the weekend early :)
