Red Rice Rocket had a plaque made and was placed on the tree at the scene of the crash.
Managed to hunt down this short video clip
It was in-car footage from the 2004 Rally of Turkey. They had lost a lot of time at the start of the race and stood no chance of winning.
Beef decided to try and lighten the mood by discussing football results. When that didn't work, he tried silly voices. Just at the end of the clip, Markko finally loses his sulky composure and starts to crack up.
Reminds me of my time on The Bulldog Rally.
RT had gotten a bit scared and was really tight, gripping the stearing wheel. In the pitlane next to us was Malcom Wilson - Markko & Beefs boss. Malcolm suggested to me that a bit of sillyness from the navigators seat might get Rob to relax, so the next stage I rewrote my pacenotes based rather on the severity of the corner but instead on my favourite puddings
Hairpin Left - rice pudding
Square Right - sticky toffee
Medium Left - icecream
K-Right - banoffee pie
It did the job, RT relaxed and we went on to grab 2nd position.
I'm guessing Malcolm gave Beef the same advice too.
