Sierra De Gredos - Part ONE
Jan. 29th, 2007 10:10 pmThe first day was a gentle hike through the Cirque, with lunch at the Elola Refuge.
There were a few patches of ice, but no more than 50ft across.
Remarkably I was able to keep up with the lead group. I'd drop back a bit on the descents, but on the uphill slogs I'd catch up again.
Considering how I struggled on the last meet I was well pleased with myself.
On the return leg to Platforma I had a bit of a play in the snow and ice just to get used to walking on it, and once again I was with the lead group when we got to the end of the leg.
Yay me :)
