Dec. 1st, 2005 02:17 pmWe have eMail back at the office - yay us.
Turns out that [blah blah technical stuff blah blah] evil British Telecom [blah blah technical waffle] 95% of business customers affected [blah blah blah] Tony saves the day.
While waiting for various people to get back to me regarding above issues, I was able to catch up on the latest news regarding the EPICA Dome C Ice core surveys just conducted in the Antarctica which always makes for interesting reading, especially when I have to try and remember what I learnt about the Milankovitch Theory in Astronomy class
[EDITORS NOTE: You've all scrolled past haven't you? The threat of science and math has turned your brains to mush hasn't it.
Well, for everyone apart from PDR I'll put it all in simpler terms.
Seriously, it could happen - I've seen "The Day After Tomorrow"]
Anyway, all this talk of doom and gloom in our environment has even reached the normally cheerful bunch at The Oil Drum1, but on a positive note, I was thinking of treating myself to a home weather station, but now I think I can save the $750 because within a decade a) we'll have no electricity to power it and b) all it will ever say is "warning - freezing temperatures"
*1 don't tell me I'm the only one that reads the weekly updates from the world of deep sea oil rigs
