Oct. 12th, 2006 12:09 amSo it turns out that some of the modules on my OU course have become obsolete.
This isn't the end of the world as I don't plan on giving up the day job if/when I ever finish university, and it also gives me the opportunity to alter the direction of my degree.
With the odd exception, the modules have been very dry and academic, and I didn't really enjoy them. I now have the chance to replace the cosmology and astrophysics side of things with a more "nature" based approach, and come the new year will be hopefully be aiming for a Astronomy and GeoPlanetary Science course by adding Geology , Palaeontology and Oceanograpy to the mix. After all, how are you supposed to understand an alien planet if you don't understand your own.
